The deformation of metal by exerting pressure leads to exciting technical details, as well as new optical and haptic qualities.

The Pressure Vases are made from standard steel tubes, which when exposed to extreme pressure start to yield. The folds that appear make the normally hard and cold material look soft and tangible. Usually this deformation is considered to be a defect by the industry. Since the folds clamp in the bottom of the pressure vase, the deformation became a functional detail.

Technique developed with self modified hydraulic press in the studio.
